There is a fragile balance

Between love and truth and trust

Few ever find it...

Many are too happy with the superficial relationship

That masquerades as love...

Feeding the body and the ego

While avoiding the deeper connection

The tender reliance

The true depending

The deeper pain

The surer hope

The ties that bind through every emotion

And become stronger through it all

I found that love in you

For you speak the truth to me

You are courageous in your love

And expect me to be the same

Trusting that our love is strong enough to conquer "it"

Whatever "it" might be

Able to survive

And triumphantly flourish

Able to make us closer friends

More selfless in our intentions

True partners in this life that we are building together

How grateful I am to have found you

My true love

The one that I trust with my whole heart and soul

The one whom I know

Will always speak the truth to me

The one who has taught me

The profound strength and beauty

Of this soul-baring

And most fulfilling kind of love
