I must love you an awful lot

To make a costume such as this

I tell myself I'm crazy

As I paint and glue and stitch

It would be so much easier

To buy one at the store

I wish I'd put more thought in that

When I was thinking this before

But I could just envision

How wonderful you'd look

So I resolved to make your costume

No matter what it took

And I've paid the price in hours

Being committed...I was caught

So I hope you like your costume   OR  So I hope you liked your costume

It proves I love you an awful lot!
