It's time for bed on Christams Eve
But we still want to stay awake
We're listening for Santa and his reindeer
For any sound that they might make
We've heard that Santa is coming...
That like magic...he soon will appear
So we're listening for jingling bells
And the taps of prancing reindeer
We can't wait to hear our wrapped presents
Crinkle when pulled from his bag
And we hope our presents are lots of fun
More fun than we've ever had!
How we wish we could stay up to see him!
But Mom and Dad are being quite mean!!
They say that we still have to go to bed
That Santa will come while we dream
So we've left him some milk and some cookies
And we've kissed our parents goodnight
But we'll just pretend to be sleeping
While we listen for Santa tonight
